Our Third - Fourth Grade Classroom at the Early Learning Community
The Sea Lions class is a community of 19 students in third and fourth grade, their teachers, and other ELC assistants. The Sea Lions are part of the wider community of children, teachers, and families who make up the Early Learning Community at Pacific University. Student teachers from the Pacific University Master of Arts in Teaching program are also part of the teaching team.
A description of our program elements and our teaching approaches may be found on our school website, and the Sea Lions’ blog offers a window into how these are expressed in the day-to-day activities and experiences of the children.
Our lead teacher is Ellie Rickett. Ellie holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University. The Sea Lions’ assistant teacher is Julie Ungar. Julie has over 30 years of experience working with children.
We welcome the family and friends of our students to visit our school and be a part of what happens here. Please contact Ms. Ellie to make arrangements for spending time in our classroom.
